 Shahab Khodro is one of the oldest and most famous manufacturers of commercial vehicles, especially buses in Iran. At the Beginning, company served as the commercial agent of British Leyland Motors in Iran. In 1963 the company entered into a joint venture with Leyland of UK and the name changed to Leyland Motors of Iran. At that time the double Decker buses were manufactured. After Iran Islamic Revolution in 1982, the name was changed to Shahab Khodro and for the first time a type of city buses was locally designed with Mercedes Power Train. At present, we produce city buses, intercity buses, CNG buses, middle buses, and special vehicles including fire-fighting, garbage collectors, cesspool emptier, tankers and the other special trucks based on receiving orders. |
